‘Bachelor’s Bekah M. shows Arie messaged her after she left the show

From Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor, it’s clear that Arie can’t make decisions when it comes to romance. Now, contestant Bekah Martinez has revealed that the bachelor slid into her DMs even after she was left roseless and left the show.

Bekah was out from The Bachelor in episode 7, but Arie apparently still contacted her after her departure, according to screenshots she posted to Twitter and Instagram on Monday.

“dm’ing your ex on twitter is a great look too, no? #teampetty #teambecca,” she wrote.

The screenshots reveal that Arie contacted Bekah twice within the span of two days in early February to make a not-so-funny joke. Bekah made news when her portrait was posted by the North Coast Journal in a list of 35 missing people from Humboldt County on the California Department of Justice’s website. She had apparently been reported missing by her mother.

Arie joked about Bekah’s milk carton fame and messaged her again the next day to joke that she was born in the year he had his “first 2-on-1,” referring to the way The Bachelor structures its televised dates as well as a possible innuendo.

Some fans went off on Bekah for posting the DMs and said his messages weren’t meant to be flirtatious, especially since the two left on good terms.

It doesn’t seem like it was meant to come off weird and was more being friendly. Why so much shade?? Can’t ppl be nice to one another on social media?? If you have nothing nice to say just don’t say anything at all. #TheBachelor #BachelorNation

Bekah’s maturity has been a big topic since the fourth episode when The Bachelor contestant revealed she is 23, more than 10 years younger than Arie, 36.

But people on Twitter are backing up Bekah by saying his mention of a “2-on-1” was anything but platonic.

Also, referring to his "first 2-on-1"? Not sure what's in the pic, but that's def flirting.

@ariejr was "just doin a lil checkin in" with Lauren while engaged to @thebkoof too. Sounds more like "keeping options open". But Bekah is smarter than that, and is at least calling it out. More women should be like Bekah.

Arie’s comments may have been poorly phrased, but Bekah failed to mention in the post that she did not fully cut off communication with him after leaving the show.

“I just got the opportunity to talk with him a week later at his hotel in L.A. and it was filmed and everything, but it didn’t make the cut,” Bekah told Entertainment Tonight.

Given the timeline, Arie’s communication may have been less malicious than Twitter assumes, but it doesn’t look like Bekah cares at this point.

yeah arie was probably being friendly but guess what I DONT CARE HAHAHA, BOY BYEEEEE

Arie can claim the messages were friendly, but anytime a man mentions a “2-on-1” in a DM, we know why he’s there.
